The flip side of the equation/ my fallen family

I often get asked why I make the faces that I do and why I’m called Monster. I’m true to my word, so here’s the answer to your questions. As real as I can get in a post, talking about this one hurts, but it’s something about me that most of the closest people to me don’t even know. Those who do know me and my history understand my real-life story, not just what family and friends think they know.
This is my first cousin Albee (Albert Johnson Jr). He is my uncle’s son but was raised like a brother to me. My uncles taught us more than anyone outside of my grandparents, who raised us! Sadly, my uncles and cousin are no longer with us.
Albee was killed in his truck one morning in 2005 while dropping off a female friend who worked with him. A coward ran up and opened fire into the vehicle before my cousin could reach the glove box! He was on his way to meet up with me that morning. That was the worst call of my life, leading to a physical break because the rage took over, and I had to be put away for a few days in ICU. But trust and believe that justice was served in some form; I am my brother's keeper!
Back then, I was known as Kaios, and he was actually the storm. I was raised to play, adopt the pain, and control the aggression, as we called it, to walk in both worlds. He was more upfront, loved to be seen, and show off! The Monster face, as all of you call it, is a language my uncle John Johnson (Duty) R.I.P. taught us as kids, used for many things, but mostly when it was time to let the animals loose!
Albee took most of the blame for things we had done; he even served time for me, so his death took a major part of me. Owning a music business was our dream, and he’s not here to see that dream become a reality. In 2025, I’m determined to expand Moneymonsters Music and our music catalog, bringing new music and beats to artists everywhere.
As I write this, I can feel myself wanting to cry, but it always hurts too much to cry! The face I make is a tribute to my fallen brother, who rides this journey with me in my heart and soul even after death until we meet again. We both growl when we get mad, or when the animals in us take over, and that has even passed on to our children! Albee’s daughter was born the day he left this world. For one to be born, one has to leave!
So there you have the shortest version of this story I can tell because there’s no limit on getting in trouble for things we were good at! Albee will always be an owner of Moneymonsters Music NY/ATL Inc, and since he’s not here, it will take care of his child and family for the future, just like my own!
